Things that Make You Go Hmmmmm!

Some of the best things about letterboxing, of course, are the wonderful places that boxes take you.  But I also love the many neat things that you see when you are in search of, or in this case, hiding new boxes.  I was out and about seeking homes for a few boxes for Ralph Spoilsport's Dutch Country PAL 2014 when I saw something that was not really unusual but sort of out of place for a letterboxing expedition.  Parked in the small parking area was this horseless buggy.  Usually when we see buggies around here, and we do see a lot of them since this IS Pennsylvania Dutch country, they have horses attached to them.  I don't remember ever seeing one deserted along a road before.
I moseyed my way down the trail and about a half mile into my walk, I found the horse that went with the buggy.

About a  half mile later, I came across the people that belonged to the horse that went with the buggy.  I had to snap this picture quickly because I try to respect the Amish wish not to be photographed but this was too good not to take.  The lady actually saw me taking this picture and gave me a wave and a smile.
Four miles and three boxes later, I came across the people who belonged to the horse that went with the buggy reunited!
Things that make you go hmmmmm but also things that make you smile and make letterboxing even more interesting.
